The government has taken a number of measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus as much as possible. One of these measures is a ban on events, festivals and concerts throughout the Netherlands until 31 May 2020. Following this decision, Effenaar will be closed until 1 June.
This concert has been moved to may 7th 2021. If concerts are moved, tickets remain valid for the new date. More information about the possibility to get your money back from your already purchased ticket in case of cancelled or moved concerts will follow later.
We are working on several options. These are exceptional times for everyone. We are trying to deal with this crisis in the best possible way, so that we will all be able to enjoy live music as we are used to. We hope for your understanding and ask you to give us some time to get things right. For the current status of returning tickets we would like to refer you to https://www.effenaar.nl/tickets. We will update this page as soon as more is known.
In 2020 it will be 40 years since ‘Joy Division’s singer Ian Curtis died. To memorize and honor the iconic singer and to the fact that Joy Division’s second album ‘Closer’ was released in that same year (1980), ‘Joy Division Undercover’ will do an energetic European and South American club & festival tour between February and October 2020 (in Holland May and June for clubs). The band will play the entire album ’Closer’ and many more of their legendary songs. In 2019 they did a very successful Dutch tour with the album ‘Unknown Pleasures’, where most of the concerts were completely sold out.
After the band, stick around for the best alternative 80's classics. It's free!
