Inspired by singers such as Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour and singer Edith Piaf, Barbara Pravi heralds the renaissance of chanson. During the Eurovision Song Contest she recently brought the crowd in the stands, but also at home in front of the TV, in raptures with her wonderful performance and voice.
Barbara Pravi is a French singer-songwriter with Serbian and Iranian roots and a passionate fighter for women's rights, she took part in the recording of 'Debout les femmes', the official song for the French women's liberation movement (Mouvement de Libération des Femmes). And since the Eurovision Song Contest, she has become an integral part of the international musical landscape. Her Dutch club show debut in the Melkweg was sold out in no time, but luckily some show dates and locations are now being added. On April 2 it's the turn of the Effenaar. Et Voilà!
