Rats on Rafts

The Rotterdam based Rats on Rafts are relentless, as soon as this post-punk engine gets going it's unstoppable. The band thunders with 200 km/h through the world of new wave, punk and garage. Those who dare to peek out of the window look straight into a wormhole full of feverish themes, reverb and abrasive melodies.

After 'The Moon Is Big' and 'Tape Hiss' the Rotterdam quartet returns this year with new work. This new album, 'Excerpts From Chapter 3: The Mind Runs A Net Of Rabbit Paths', is not only a mouthful but looking at their latest single 'T.M.E', it is also a step forward in their sonic quest.

Track record: ITGWO, Down The Rabbit Hole, Motel Mozaique

Quote: "The weirder the better," states their Bandcamp bio, but that's only half the story; in reconstructing their music to match the grand scale of their ambition, they've mapped out a whole new territory to explore, and Tape Hiss indicates it's going to be a hell of a ride". - The Quites
