Under the name Club Void a series of weekly stoner, sludge and doom concerts will start from Thursday 1 September in the small hall of Effenaar. The initiators are programmer Robert Schaeffer (Effenaar), Paul van Berlo (booking agency Loud Noise and organizer of the festival “Into the Void”), and Peter van Elderen (best known as the frontman of Peter Pan Speedrock and currently active with Tankzilla and Firehorse).
Club Void kicks off on September 1st, starting with three bands from Eindhoven: the illustrious Candybar Planet, the Komatsu sludgers and the new talent in town: Vitamin B12. “By adding young talents, we show that the scene is still very much alive,” says Van Elderen. The entrance on September 1st is €12,50 and every visitor will also receive an exclusive Club Void patch, to emphasize the club feeling of the stoner community.
Shows from Toundra, Yawning Man and The Obsessed will follow later in the year, to name a few. Soon names for the Into the Void festivals will follow. More information can be found at www.clubvoid.nl
