The Eindhoven eclectic act around Rob Cornelissen, or Why Tony, normally brings a cocktail of blues, grunge and dreamy melodies. There are now three albums on the shelf and although the piano is not new to the band, it only played a central role on 'Side A', which was released last January. In addition to own compositions, this album also contains instrumental interpretations of Muse, Mozes and the Firstborn, Aidan & the Wild and none other than composer / pianist Frédéric Chopin. In the fall Why Tony hopes to be able to play (and drink!) their familiar cocktail again, but we are happy that he will first be playing an integral version of Side A and the yet to be released Side B, on the now famous Eindhoven station piano!
Why Tony's pre-recorded performance on the station piano will be broadcast on March 27 at 9 p.m. via www.thesessions.stream.
