The Effenaar consists of two halls where both concerts and dance events are held and a nice restaurant-café. It can be found in Eindhoven's city centre, diagonally opposite to the Central Station. From 1971 The Effenaar stood right in the epicentre of the music scene in Eindhoven, as one of the main clubs where new music could spawn, grow and be harvested. By providing a stage for local talent, as well as offering concerts of established bands that serve as an example for the eager youth of Eindhoven.

In recent years the Effenaar has presented numerous headliners including Editors, Fun Lovin’Criminals, Limp Bizkit, White Lies, Angie Stone, Queens of the Stone Age, Booka Shade, Elbow, Jamie Lidell, Mark Lanegan, Primus, Soulwax Nite Versions, Alice in Chains, My Bloody Valentine, Dave Clarke, N.E.R.D., The Wombats, Booker T. and the MG’s, Life Of Agony, CocoRosie, Boys Noize, Paul Weller, Crookers, The Cult, Busta Rhymes, DJ Shadow, Blood Red Shoes, Goldie, Maria Mena, Proxy, The Veils and Ice Cube.

And in the early years: Joy Division, Ramones, Sonic Youth, Talking Heads, Queens of the Stone Age, Pearl Jam, Echo and the Bunnymen, Sex Pistols, R.E.M., Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, Curtis Mayfield, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, The Cure and even The Red Hot Chili Peppers. 

Effenaar can be reached by public transport and car. There is enough parking space in the surrounding area. Eindhoven has it’s own airport for which RyanAir offers cheap flights from divers international locations. Find our location on Google Maps. 

Tickets

You can buy your Effenaar ticket(s) online at this website 24 hours a day. All listed shows on our website have a direct ticketlink, except when the presale has not started yet. With TicketFast you can buy online tickets until two hours before the show starts. Our ticketpartner is Ticket Service Nederland, they also sell tickets for our shows at their own website, via telesales 0900 300 1250 (not from abroad)  and at official Ticket Service Nederland presale points such as large post-offices and Free Records Shops.

We also sell tickets at the Effenaar boxoffice, which is open every day from 13.00 till 18.00 hours (except on no-show Sundays). We do sell tickets at the door, if they are still available on the evening of the show.

For people who live outside the Netherlands, they can buy their tickets trough the direct ticketlink on this website, but only with a creditcard. People without a creditcard can call the telephonenumber 0031 10 592 71 25.

Our website lists the presale start and the right price of the tickets for each show, excluding service costs for Ticket Service Nederland. An overview of these fees:

Beware of scalping, only use the presale options as mentioned above. Only then you are assured your tickets have the correct ticket fee and you are guaranteed to be in possession of a valid ticket.
